Justin Bieber dropped a bomb on Instagram this week when he told his 1.6 million fans he was taking a break from music.

The singer made the announcement in an emotional Instagram post, which explains why he isn’t returning to music anytime soon. Bieber also hinted about being a father with wife Hailey Bieber.

The ‘Sorry’ singer hasn’t released an album since Purpose in 2015 and his fans have been pushing him for a new album according to Bieber.

However, he told his fans music isn’t his focus right now and that he’s focused on repairing some of his “deep-rooted issues” so he can sustain his marriage and be the father he wants to be.

“So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album….I’ve toured my whole teenage life and early 20s…I realized, and as you guys probably saw, I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively, energetic, fun, light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour,” he began.

“I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep-rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be,” the Canadian star captioned an Instagram post, on March 25.

The announcement follows his admission that he’d been “struggling” with his mental health and he asked his fans to pray for him.

In an interview with Vogue last month, Bieber revealed that he was battling depression during his 2017 Purpose world tour.

“I got really depressed on tour,” he told Vogue. “I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about. I was lonely. I needed some time.”
