Man suffering head injuries after being struck by vehicle upon exiting TTC streetcar

A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being struck by a vehicle while exiting a streetcar on Friday morning, according to police.

Officers say that the collision occurred near Sherbourne Street and King Street East.

Sherbourne St & King St E
– male pedestrian struck
– TTC advised it was a passenger who exited the street car and was hit @TTCnotices

A road closure is currently in effect in the area; Sherbourne is closed, northbound and southbound at King.

The TTC says that the 504B is taking a detour both ways via King West and Church Street.
