A free concert series is coming to Queen West this summer

Live music at an outdoor venue on a warm summer evening? Count us in.

For the first time, Queen Street West BIA will be hosting its ‘Queen West Street Stages’ concert series, giving Torontonians the chance to enjoy their community while checking out local musicians.

Taking place on select Sundays this July and August from 2 pm to 8 pm, performances will run for an hour, with a 20-minute intermission between performances.

Shows will begin running on July 14 through August 4 at Queen West’s Denison Avenue Parkette, and July 21 and August 11 at the Ryerson Avenue Parkette.

“Queen Street West has long been known as a hub for some of Toronto’s best musicians with its amazing music venues and bars,” said Shamez Amlani, Chair of the Queen Street West BIA.

“The BIA is excited to have two new spaces we plan on utilizing to spotlight the amazing music coming out of Toronto today.”

In the summer of 2018, the BIA unveiled two new parkettes on Queen and Denison and Queen and Ryerson that will now be utilized to engage the Queen West community and showcase the neighbourhoods musical spirit with local Toronto talent performing live music.
