Environment Canada issues Special Weather Alert for Toronto ahead of snowfall

Feb 10 2017, 11:27 pm

It’s back.

As we said yesterday, snow was in the forecast for this weekend. And it’s on it’s way.

Environment Canada just issued a special weather statement, alerting Toronto about the upcoming 10 cm snowfall which is set to begin this afternoon and last throughout the evening.

The snow is expected to affect the Friday afternoon commute, and tricky winter driving conditions are expected. Along with it, low visibility might happen occasionally during blowing snow.

So give yourselves some extra time on the road this afternoon, if you have to be outside.

According to Environment Canada, this “Alberta Clipper” should end by midnight, when the accumulation is expected.

But tomorrow is still supposed to be warm. So there’s that.
