Coming soon: Double D's, a new Chicago-style deep dish pizza joint

Toronto is about to get a new destination for deep dish pizzas.

Going in on Gerrard just west of Jones, Double D’s claims to be Toronto’s only Chicago-style deep dish pizza joint. From the outside, the restaurant looks to be nearing completion, not to mention absolutely charming AF.

Once open, Torontonians should expect quintessential pies featuring buttery crusts acting as a pool for massive amounts of sweet red sauce and a thick layer of gooey cheese.

We’re drooling already.
