Another coronavirus death announced for Alberta care home

Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced another COVID-19-related death for the province.

The case was a woman in her 80s from the McKenzie Towne Continuing Care Centre.

This brings the total up to 11 deaths of residents from the facility, and 24 for Alberta as a whole.

“I want to offer my condolences to her family and friends, and to the residents and staff of McKenzie Towne who are grieving the loss of so many lives,” said Dr. Hinshaw at the press conference.

This brings Canada’s total coronavirus death count to 340.
