Chaotic Creative: The Shape of Water's Lauren Lee Smith (PODCAST)

Mar 2 2018, 10:34 am

Lauren Lee Smith didn’t even audition for her role in Guillermo Del Toro’s masterpiece The Shape of Water – he just remembered her and asked her to be a part of it.

No. Big. Deal.

Like many aspiring actors, Vancouver-born Lee Smith moved to LA – but soon found she was booking more gigs back in Canada. After landing roles in TV shows like Mutant X, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The L Word, Lee Smith received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for her work in CBC’s This Life. Lauren Lee Smith took the lead role playing Toronto’s first female private investigator in the 1920s CBC show Frankie Drake Mysteries.

In this episode we also try to solve some modern day mysteries including: whether aliens exist, what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and how to discover who in your office is stealing your lunch (and what the book ‘Flowers in the Attic’ has to do with it).

So sit back, settle in, and find out what it’s like to work with one of the best directors in the world.

This is Lauren Lee Smith. This is Chaotic Creative.
