This is what Calgary looks like after a spring snowstorm hammered it (PHOTOS)

Winter may have officially ended more than a month ago, but that didn’t stop an April snowstorm from hitting YYC hard. 

A full 10 to 15 cm of snowfall came down on the city of Calgary by the time all was said and done, while other regions of southern Alberta were hit with even more snow and stronger winds.

Carrot Creek and Sylvan Lake both received 30 cm of snowfall, while Airdrie and Edson saw 20 cm, Nordegg had 18 cm, and Red Deer 17 cm.

The 80 km/hour winds that were felt in Calgary this past weekend were even stronger across the province, reaching their zenith in Brochet at 107 km/hour, Travers at 106 km/hour, and Iron Springs at 102 km/hour, according to the Environment Canada storm summary.
