Toronto police have identified the victim of a daytime shooting that occurred in Toronto last week as 37-year-old Farogh Sadat of British Columbia.

On Friday, June 19, police responded to a call for a shooting at 1346 St. Clair Avenue West, at about 11:39 am.

Officers reportedly arrived on scene and located a man — now identified as Sadat — with numerous gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Toronto Paramedic Services attended the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries.

At the time, investigators said that witnesses saw two men, who police say may be the possible suspects involved, fleeing in a four-door sedan.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide and are thanking those who have already come forward with information.

Investigators continue to urge anyone who was driving in the area with a dash cam, or who observed anything out of the ordinary at the address between 10 am and noon on Friday, to contact police.

Anyone with information can reach police at 416-808-7400, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, on the Facebook Leave a Tip page, or by texting TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
