120-year-old Canadian photo shows Greta Thunberg's doppelganger

A photo from the Yukon Territory, circa 1898, has surfaced online, triggering some conspiracy theories about whether or not Greta Thunberg is a time traveller.

We know, but stick with us on this one. You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to appreciate some eerie similarities.

The photo was shared by the University of Washington’s library archive and it shows three children operating a rocker at a gold mine on Dominion Creek in the Yukon Territory.

The picture, taken 121 years ago, features a young girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to the 16-year-old Swedish climate change activist.

People on social media were quick to share some amusing conspiracy theories — because the Internet.

Could the 16-year-old be some sort of Terminator-esque time traveller sent back and forth throughout time to warn us about climate change?
