Donald Trump says he won the election "by a lot"

Donald Trump claimed victory in the presidential race on Saturday, even as a win by Joe Biden was widely projected.

In a tweet, Trump said he won the election “by a lot.”

Earlier in the day outlets across the United States, including the Associated Press and NBC, projected that Biden would win in Pennsylvania and become the 46th President of the United States.

A win in the battleground state would take the democratic challenger over the threshold of 270 electoral college votes – the amount needed to win the presidential race.

Trump has spent much of the week claiming voter fraud as Biden edged closer to the White House.
