Who you are

As the Head of Sales you are experienced in digital media sales. You are passionate about the build up of sales operations, streamlining tools and processes for efficiency, and mentorship of sales and support team members. You are hands on, and take pride in supporting your team to succeed. You have a strong track record in online media sales, and can provide guidance to your team that will improve their individual sales abilities. You are keen on working in a start-up environment and have the experience and ability to set and manage relevant KPIs that align with the company’s sales strategy.

What you'll do

  • Provide constructive leadership and coaching/mentorship to build and support a positive sales culture, and create an environment of learning and open communication to enable the sales team to succeed and grow
  • Day-to-day management of the sales team, inclusive of budget with the finance team, lead allocation, territory boundaries, recruiting and quarterly target setting
  • Assist in critical sales meetings to provide mentorship, and to ensure the close of strategic or high value accounts
  • Maintain and optimize for efficiency all sales operations / administration, inclusive of tools and processes - particularly Salesforce and the sales pipeline
  • Review relevant data and sales forecasts to analyze the market and trends to update performance goals and forecasts, and develop strategies to achieve sales and market growth objectives
  • Align with executive leadership and cross functional teams to ensure the achievement of sales and company goals, evaluate performance against key KPIs, and set and manage quota goals

What you have

  • 5-10 years experience in senior sales roles in digital media (preference to agency or large direct accounts)
  • 3+ years experience in senior roles managing teams in digital media
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experienced in negotiating major contracts with media agencies and brands
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the customer organization, including executive and C-level
  • Inclusive and constructive leadership style
  • Track record of successfully recruiting and retaining sales team members
  • Well connected within the advertising industry
  • Affinity for building out sales administration/operations and tools for efficiency, and evaluating and implementing change in the team structure
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to wear multiple hats
  • Experience in metrics, KPIs and forecasting
  • Experience in programmatic sales is a must
  • Experience in digital media is a must
  • Experience in Salesforce is a must
  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong agency sales experience
