The melty, gravy covered, crispy confection is available at the Winnipeg, Quebec City and Boucherville locations for now, but there’s always room for the expansion of curd-covered fries.
“There’s always a possibility that other stores will start to serve up this dish,” an IKEA spokesperson told Daily Hive.
“While we will always be rooted in our Swedishness and will serve classic dishes such as meatballs and salmon, each store has the ability to adapt and try new dishes that are relevant to their markets and customer tastes,” they said.
The dish is currently listed on the IKEA website at $4.99.
So, there you go. IKEA really does have everything.
