With just 71 points this season, this was one of the worst seasons in Montreal Canadiens franchise history.
But after 82 games of darkness, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for Habs fans.
The NHL Draft Lottery will take place April 28 in Toronto, and the Canadiens have the fourth-best odds this year.

The Canadiens have just a 9.5% chance at winning the lottery, which would give them the chance to select the consensus No. 1 pick, Swedish defenceman Rasmus Dahlin. They’ve got a 28.8% shot at winning one of the top-three picks.
But as the odds below show, the most likely scenario involves Montreal dropping from fourth spot.
