New parking restrictions are now in effect in Montreal

New parking restrictions are now in effect for Montreal.

As of April 1 (no, it’s not a late April Fools’ joke) different restrictions will be in place while the city completes maintenance, cleaning, and road repairs.

“Please note that no-parking periods are periods reserved for all types of maintenance on streets and sidewalks; drivers must therefore fully respect the blackout period even if road maintenance vehicles seem to have already passed,” said the City of Montreal in a release.

The change in signage is currently in place for most Montreal boroughs. The restrictions will go into effect for LaSalle on April 16.

The new parking rules will be in effect until December 1. In Anjou, Lachine, LaSalle, Saint-Léonard, and Verdun the restrictions will end in November.

For more information on the restrictions and signage, visit the city’s website.
