The year 2019 is fast approaching and Montreal has a huge, free New Year’s Eve celebration planned to ring in the new year.
As part of this winter’s Merry Montreal festivities, the bash will take part at the Quai Jacques-Cartier in Old Montreal.
The Old Port will host a grand outdoor stage where you can dance and party 2018 away and welcome in 2019 in style.
Thousands of partiers will fill the Old Port in what Montreal en Fetes calls “the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Canada.”
Performers include:
- Hubert Lenoir
- Émile Bilodeau
- Roxane Bruneau
- Afrikana Soul Sister
- Andréanne A Malette
- Lydia Képinski
The countdown to midnight will feature a firework show atop the Pont Jacques-Cartier before the Quai Jacques-Cartier transforms into a giant illuminated dancefloor.
The site will host bar kiosks, restaurant outlets and a relax zone, because nobody wants to start 2019 stressed out.
Keep in mind, Montreal’s metros will be open all night, so don’t travel limit the way you choose to end 2018 and start 2019.
