19 pictures from this weekend's mass anti-racism protest in Montreal

On Sunday, downtown’s streets were flooded with close to 3,000 people who took part in an anti-racism protest.

Many protestors wore the Muslim hijab and the Jewish kippah in a stance against François Legault and his immigration policies and religious symbol ban.

Although the rally had been planned before the October 1 election, Legault and the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) became primary targets in light of what protestors were calling racist policies.

From bands to speeches, the streets of Montreal were full of powerful people, young and old, standing up against their beliefs, both on a local and global scale.
