This Rocky Mountain lake has become a dream skating rink (PHOTOS)

You won’t find an ice rink like this one anywhere else in the world.

Nestled into the Rocky Mountains, Lake Louise is a treasure during the summer months, and in the winter it becomes an entirely new beauty.

The ice freezes solid early in the year thanks to the cold temperatures at its higher elevation, so skating on top of the blue waters has become a favourite past-time for locals and visitors alike.

There’s no waiting for ice-time here, either; with so much space, dozens of hockey games can be played simultaneously.

Lake Louise even hosts a pond hockey tournament in February so players can show off their skills on the natural ice rink.

We’ve thrown together a few photos of the ice for you to enjoy – but if you can ever check it out in the flesh, make sure to bring your stick!
