Any student can attest to the importance of having an amazing laptop to get through school, but what happens after graduation?
A new Intel study says 82% of its survey respondents recognize building an online identity is crucial for success as a freelancer, contract-based employee, or business owner. However, three in 10 of the student respondents say they don’t understand how to do so.
Given the competitive job market it’s important to create a strong online identity, especially considering that many people work from home, connecting with colleagues remotely, and delivering work virtually while working flexible hours.
To that end, among those who express a willingness to consider self-employment through freelance work or business ownership, 68% say that having “a great laptop” would be important to their success while 59% agree having the right laptop can make it easier for them to establish their career.
Along with that, 56% agree that “from organizing my schedule to creating presentations to video conferencing, a laptop would be the hub of my business”.
