Google unveils Canada's most-asked Game of Thrones questions before upcoming premiere

While Canadians generally hate the word ‘winter’, it’s not the case with the entire phrase that is ‘Winter is Coming.’

And Winter is indeed on its way, as many eager fans patiently await the Sunday premiere of the two-years-in-the-making-but-who-is-counting Game of Thrones Season 8.

For those who don’t want Game of Thrones, or aren’t up to date, this piece may (or may not) contain spoilers. But also. You have less than a week to catch up.

Seriously. What else will you talk about on Monday at work?

Anyway, as our big day nears, and we welcome winter (and Jon Snow) with very open arms, Google has been keeping tabs of all of Canada’s questions regarding the new season, and all that has passed.

So, who will win the Game of Thrones?

Don’t worry, we don’t have an answer, and neither does Google Canada.

But, they do say that it’s the question that has topped the minds of fans across eight spectacular seasons – “who will be left sitting on the Iron Throne at the end?”

Google Canada took a look at the search interest in the top five houses still remaining in the running for the throne, and it’s probably not surprising that Canadians are most interested in House Stark, but interestingly, it’s House Lannister that generates the most questions in Canada.

And here we thought we were nice.
