After the success of last year’s inaugural Dog Fest, the organizers have decided to run a second edition this summer.

Dog Fest Montreal 2017 is going down August 26th and 27th at Esplanade du Centenaire along the Lachine Canal.

A celebration of dogs, dog lovers, and dog owners, this fun outdoor festival features a myriad of dog-themed activities and events.

This year’s festivities include obstacle courses, competitions, and local merchants selling a variety of canine-related merchandise such as dog toys, dog treats, dog care products, and dog food.

There will also be food on-site, all of which will be vegan.

Finally, the festival’s mission is not to be overlooked. The official organizers write, “Dog Fest was created for the purpose of celebrating the special relationship between human beings and our most loyal animal companions…Dog Fest is our chance to show our appreciation, to recognize the important role that dogs have always played in our lives and say thank you to the best friends humanity has ever had.”

As such, a portion of the ticket profits will go towards the Montreal SPCA.
