Move over, Vince Carter. You too, Terrence Ross.

DeMar DeRozan stands alone, scoring more points in a single game than any other Raptors player ever.

With fans at the Air Canada Centre chanting β€œMVP,” DeRozan put up 52 points, en route to a 131-127 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. The win was the Raptors’ 12th home victory in a row.

The three-time NBA All-Star scored the first nine points of the game, finishing the first quarter with 21 points. He became just the third Raptors player to hit the 50-point plateau in overtime.

Two clutch free throws with 6.7 seconds left not only put the game out of reach – it tied and passed Carter and Ross for the Raptors record.

DeRozan is en route to having the best Raptors career ever. The 28-year-old is two 30-point games away from equalling Carter (89) for the franchise record.

He also has 11 40-point games, trailing Carter by just three.

With a 25-10 record, the Raptors now have the fourth-highest winning percentage in the NBA, trailing only Boston, Golden State, and Houston.
