While the pandemic has greatly affected the workforce, Glassdoor has released a report that shows which Canadian employers have managed to successfully adapt to the changing times, with high ratings from their employees.

The site, which allows current and former employees to review companies, released its annual list of best places to work on Tuesday. It’s based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer over the past year.

“The world of work is rapidly evolving, fuelled by the pandemic and now millions of workers re-evaluating their expectations of employers. This year’s Best Places to Work winners are leading the way by listening and responding to employee feedback and reimagining the employee experience to truly put their people first,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor Chief Executive Officer, in a news release.

“It’s inspiring to see these employers step up during the pandemic to expand and grow company cultures where employees feel supported and valued in and out of work.”

The list features 25 employers from a variety of industries, including technology, finance, government, telecommunications, travel, and tourism. Ratings are based on a 5 point scale — one equals “very dissatisfied,” three means “OK,” and five equals “very satisfied.”

This year, the top spot went to Dell Technologies, with a rating of 4.4. The company did pretty well for its first appearance on the list.

What do employees love about the company? “Excellent culture. Opportunity to grow. Flexible work environment. The company genuinely cares about work-life balance,” reads a review from a Dell Technologies inside sales account manager.
