Isabelle Arthur, media relations with Air Canada, said flight 608 was supposed to land in Halifax, but got rerouted to Fredericton due to poor weather conditions.

Several other planes also landed in Fredericton at the same time and flight 608 ended up being delayed on the tarmac.

The captain didn’t want passengers to go hungry, so he made the call to order them pizzas.

“Our flight attendants and several pilots from our Air Canada Express partner JAZZ jumped in to help serve theĀ pizza and made sure everyone was comfortable,” Arthur told Daily Hive.

“We are also thankful for the efforts of our ground crews as well as the Fredericton airport services that helped clear the snow so everyone could disembark and make it to the terminal.”

Arthur says this isn’t the first time Air Canada’s pilots and crew have ensured customers were treated during a delay.

“Last month, passengers on a flight waiting for weather conditions to improve so they could depart received muffins and doughnuts compliments of the captain.”
