Minor league baseball is a weird, wacky and wonderful place. With bizarre team names, incredibly inventive promotions and one-of-a-kind concessions, it’s an adventure any time you set foot in a ballpark in the minors.

Teams are always finding new and creative ways to entertain fans. This is yet another reason why Minor league baseball at its grassroots is so progressive. For the third year, MiLB will roll out its Copa de la Diversión program.

It’s a chance for minor league teams to honour their Latin fans as the clubs transform into Latin-inspired team names with uniforms to match for the occasion.

Many of these clubs will wear their uniforms throughout the 2019 season. For baseball fans, it’s an incredible opportunity to add a unique piece of Copa headwear to their collection. These are some of the best caps coming out for Copa de la Diversión this year.

10. Monarcas de Eugene

The Eugene Emeralds will transform into the Monarcas de Eugene for Copa in 2019. The combination of bright green and yellow along with the detail on the Monarch logo make it a memorable one.

9. Margaritas de El Paso

The El Paso Chihuahuas already had a very unique name and logo, but they’ll become the El Paso Margaritas. Along with the bright lime green uniforms, they’ll have a margarita in the logo. Jimmy Buffet definitely approves.

8. Clinton Elotes

The Clinton Lumberkings will join the party as the Clinton Elotes. It’s a tip of the cap to the Mexican delicacy; grilled corn on the cob with mayonnaise, sour cream and spices.

7. Vejigantes de Scranton Wilkes/Barre

The Scranton Wilkes-Barres Railriders turn into the Vejigantes de Scranton Wilkes/Barre. The Vejigante is a jester-like character and is the focal point of this Copa uniform.

6. Medusas de Lakewood

For some reason, the Medusas de Lakewood logo has a Megaman boss thing going on, but it’s an amazing cap just the same.

5. Bradenton Barbanegras

The Bradenton Pirates didn’t stray too far from their original logo and name, but this Pittsburg Pirates affiliate makes their logo pop with the bright green primary colour.

4. Lowriders de Fresno

Yes, that’s a lowrider logo on a baseball cap. What a wonderful world. The Fresno Grizzlies will become the Lowriders de Fresco for Copa and will sport these purple lowrider uniforms and caps.

3. Piñatas de Erie

The Erie Seawolves turn into the Erie Pinatas and will bring along with them one of the best Copa caps for the 2019 season. The bright colours and multi-tiered logo make this easy to spot from miles away.

2. Ardillas Voladoras de Richmond

Richmond Flying Squirrels

You can never go wrong with a luchador-inspired uniform and that’s exactly what the Richmond Flying Squirrels did here. They somehow managed to make their cap even more badass as they become the Ardillas Voladoras de Richmond.

1. Sacramento Dorados

Lastly, the best of the bunch, it’s the luchador cap worn by the Sacramento Dorados. It’s the perfect combination of colours and the luchador logo hits all the marks. This is one cap you’ll definitely want to add to your collection right away.
