First it was the desert in Arizona, now it’s the Acropolis in Greece.

After a rare snowfall recently blanketed the typically arid landscape of Aguaro National Park and the Grand Canyon, it appears that Greece is the latest location to host another rare visit from Old Man Winter.

Of course, snow can be equated to colder temperatures, and that was certainly the case in northern parts of the country, where temperatures reportedly dropped as low as -23°C.

Many schools were closed as a result of the snow, and travelling on the roads was not recommended.

Still, despite all the headaches, you have to admit, seeing ancient monuments covered in a new dusting of snow looks pretty “cool,” right? Right.

For comparison, The Acropolis in Athens is typically more known for these types of scenes.
