Tim Hortons celebrates Canada Day with FREE doughnuts and new drinks

Who wouldn’t want to celebrate Canada Day with a sweet treat for no charge?

Coffee-lovers across the nation can do just that today and tomorrow, as Tim Hortons is offering a free doughnut with any drink purchase made through its mobile app.

And in honour of the national holiday, a red and white sprinkled vanilla dip donut, Maple Iced Coffee, and Maple Creamy Chill are now on the coffee purveyor’s menu.

The special Canada Day items will be available until July 7, or while supplies last. To cash in on the freebie until end-of-day on July 1, just add a doughnut to a mobile order that includes a drink, and you’ll get the treat, free of cost.

Usually, Tim’s sponsors Canada Day festivities that folks across the country get to participate in, but this year looks a little different, pandemic considered. Instead, the national name is sponsoring, in-part, some virtual festivities, including two live streamed shows on July 1.

Those wishing they were partaking in some IRL fun can tune in here to catch the likes of Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan, Alan Doyle, Paul Brandt, and others.

Come nighttime, the site will display a virtual fireworks show, too.
