The following product has been sold nationally:

CFIA

If you have an allergy to milk, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warns not to consume this product, as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. At this time, there has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these perogies.

As such, you should check to see if you have this item in your home — if you do, it should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

This recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. The CFIA is now conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to further recalls.

If this is the case, the public will be notified through further warnings.
