McDonald's launches chicken breakfast sandwiches for a limited time
Fried chicken and waffles is a classic brunch item, which means it’s not so left field that McDonald’s just dropped two chicken breakfast sandwiches across Canada.
Starting March 9, participating restaurants across Canada will be serving up Chicken McGriddles and Chicken McMuffin breakfast sandwiches, but only for a limited time.
First piloted last year in Alberta, both breakfast sandwiches combine a selection of iconic menu items that serve as a flavourful way to shake up your standard morning routine.
McDonald’s Chicken
Served on McDonald’s maple-flavoured griddle cakes, Chicken McGriddles offer the classic combination of sweet and savoury.
The Chicken McMuffin is complete with a mayonnaise-style sauce and a slice of processed cheddar cheese on a toasted English muffin.

“Chicken is becoming an increasingly popular choice at breakfast time. While novel for some, it’s long been a popular choice for many,” said Nicola Pitman, Director, Menu Innovation and Management at McDonald’s Canada in a release.
“Both the Chicken McGriddles and Chicken McMuffin at breakfast give Canadians the opportunity to expand their breakfast taste buds, with a new protein choice meal on the go.”
Both sandwiches will be available starting March 9 during breakfast hours — until 11 am — at participating restaurants.
