Food and beverage establishments have been making big changes over the past few months to accommodate critical health and safety policies, and McDonald’s has added a handful of new updates.

The Canadian locations of the fast-food chain have been evolving how they operate, according to an open letter from president and CEO of McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, John Betts.

Betts outlined in this letter the new changes that have been implemented at stores across the country.

That includes new contact-free service procedures along with new plexiglass screens at Drive-thru windows.

McDonald’s quickly pivoted to be able to offer Curbside Pick-Up through the MyMcDs app with truck drivers, paramedics, and other essential workers whose vehicles might not fit through drive-thrus in mind.

Betts also announced that McHappy Day, an annual celebration and fundraiser in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) that was scheduled for May 6, will be postponed.
