If Vancouver’s real estate market just isn’t working out for you, how about an entire island? Vancouver-based real estate group Unique Properties currently has a small island on sale for nearly the price of a Vancouver home.

Jelina Island, which belongs to British Columbia’s Gulf Islands, has been listed by the company for a cool $1,100,000. According to the listing, the 7-acre island is “located in central Georgia Strait, with access from Vancouver, Nanaimo, Comox, or the Sunshine Coast.”

The island is located between Lasqueti Island and Texada Island but features a “quiet location” with few passing boats.

The varied topography, according to Unique Properties, provides multiple options for work and development. With a south-facing beach, there are plenty of opportunities to “enjoy the stunning ocean views and spot whales.”

“At low water, the bountiful oyster and clam beds are unveiled, and at the lowest tides, one can even walk across to nearby Marshall’s Beach leading to Lennie Lagoon on neighbouring Lasqueeti Island,” says the real estate group.
