Health Canada has issued a recall for a brand of hand sanitizer because it may pose health risks and doesn’t meet the department’s requirements.

The recall notice for “Salon Solution Waterless Hand Wash” was issued on April 19.

Made by CBON Cosmetic Brands of North America Inc., the sanitizer has not been authorized for sale in Canada.

It is also missing risks statements, and is not authorized to contain technical-grade ethanol, the health department said.

Health Canada is advising consumers to stop using the recalled sanitizer and return it to a pharmacy for proper disposal.

If you have used Salon Solution Waterless Hand Wash and have concerns, the department says to contact a healthcare professional.
