This candle-lit garden walk is a can't miss this holiday season

This is a holiday event that you do not want to miss out on.

Every winter, the University of Alberta’s Botanical Garden lights up with thousands of little candles, creating one of the most tranquil strolls you’ll ever experience.

Luminaria will take place on every day this December — except for on Christmas Day — and will see attendees walking through the snow-covered grounds of the university’s botanical gardens surrounded my candle-light and, on some clear nights, under the shining stars.

Tickets are already available online for $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for kids three to 12 years old.

The event usually sells out fast, so those hoping to enjoy the experience will want to act quick to secure their spots.

This year’s event is also offering the Northern Light Dining Experience, which includes access to Luminaria, a three-course gourmet fondue, and cider by a bonfire to end out the night.

Tickets to the dining event sold out within mere hours, according to the event’s website, but more Northern Light Dining spaces are expected to become available, and those hoping to snag a seat can sign up to be notified when they go online.
