Looking for a job?

The brand new Amazon fulfillment centre in Nisku, Alberta, has finally begun taking applications for 600 full-time positions.

A release from the company states that the centre is expected to pick, pack, and ship larger customer items.

An additional 100 positions are open for applications at new delivery stations at Calgary and Nisku, and that “shift schedules vary as do responsibilities.”

Full-time workers will receive day-one benefits that include medical, dental, and visual insurance, along with performance-based bonuses, RRSP plan, company stock awards, and competitive hourly wages.

The release also states that employees will be eligible for Amazon’s Career Choice program, which pays up to 95% of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields — even if they don’t have any relevance to a career at Amazon.

Those looking to apply can fill out an application form at the company’s website, must be at least 18-years-old, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay starts at $16 per hour.
