The 37th annual Calgary Folk Music Festival has unveiled its full lineup of 2016 artists.
76 icons and upstarts from 16 countries will perform on 8 stages during the 3 day festival. You will see main stage concerts in the evenings, and collaborative workshops along with other concerts on smaller stages throughout the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
2016 performers include The New Pornographers, Cat Power, Braids, Lord Huron, Oyster Band and many more.
Bring a tarp with you and sit on the grass in front of the main stage or you can also bring along a blanket and short beach chairs to sit on. Tip: If you can roll a basketball underneath it, it’s probably too tall.
Once you have your wristband, you’ll be able to leave the festival grounds and come back as many times as you’d like. The other option available is that you can stay all day. Lots of food vendors will be onsite, along with a beer garden, a children’s play area, a craft market and a record tent.
