Summer Pop-Up Picnics in Calgary are here

The free Summer Pop-Up Picnics Series is about to start up again this year in Calgary – all you need to do is bring lunch and some friends.

The picnics, which begin this Wednesday, June 22 and run through August 24, are community lunch hours which take place in various locations around town.

Between noon and 1 pm, organizers supply tables, chairs and entertainment; each picnic has a unique theme and will be in a different location every week.

This Wednesday, the theme is Magic. Expect a magic show, a levitation photo booth and a giant six-foot balloon bunny, as well as lots of local vendors and music performances.

Pop-Up Picnics are organized by Downtown Calgary and are completely free, family-friendly and open to the public. Here’s the list of picnics and themes scheduled this year:
