Calgary's getting a pinball and sandwich bar on 17th Avenue
Are you a pinball wizard?
You’d better start working on those supple wrists, as Calgary is about to become home to Pinbar Sandwich Co., a bar featuring pinball machines, classic arcade games, “killer” sandwiches, and a full-on liquor license.
Yeah, we’re pretty excited too.
Not much is currently known about the new joint, as Pinbar Sandwich Co. has been relatively quiet on social media.
Only three Instagram posts have been made by @pinbaryyc, each proclaiming the arrival of the bar, and promising that the doors will be opening “soooooon….ish,” according to the most recent post.
The bar will be located at 501 17th Avenue SW, replacing the old Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery that closed down in 2015 – Pinbar signs are currently covering the windows, hiding whatever renovations may be going on – or what machines are being brought in.
So you’d better get there ASAP once it does open… before all the easy high-score spots are taken.
