Finally something to brag about to our counter parts west and east of us. As Vancouver continues to get rain, and Toronto’s heat wave starts to dissipate, we are experiencing some warm weather from the south.
Although we’re use to calling breaks in our weather chinooks this weather phenomenon is actually due to a combination of features working together.
Warms winds from southeast of us are pushing against colder winds from west of us north. The warm winds are hovering over us, meaning we get 19 degree weather for most of the weekend.
If you’re heading into the mountains this weekend, you’ll also get some milder weather, perfect for skiing at Sunshine Village for their opening weekend.
