Here's how to win prizes (and donate to charity) by voting for Canada's best workplace

As a North American hub for technology and innovation, Canada is home to many talented business owners and entrepreneurs. But the country’s most influential businesses (and the people behind them) aren’t always recognized for the work they do.

However, that’s all about to change with Canada’s Workforce Choice Awards.

Presented by national recruitment firm BOWEN Group, the awards are set to honour companies across every industry who set a new standard for the future of work. For the very first time, the awards will allow the best workplaces to be chosen by the entire workforce.

Here’s a look at how they work.

You choose the awards

In times past, organizations might have nominated themselves for awards, but Canada’s Workforce Choice Awards are set to change that. The awards are setting a new standard as they’re chosen by all members of the evolving workforce — and that includes you.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a contractor, employee, part or full-time worker, an intern, seasonal worker, temp, or freelancer; everyone has a say. All you have to do is vote by August 1!

The award categories

BOWEN Group believes that exceptional organizations are the ones that focus on today’s pressing issues like women’s advancement, Indigenous engagement, and future sustainability.

The award categories that you can vote in are: Diversity and Inclusion, Indigenous Engagement, Innovation, Workplace Culture and Engagement, Future Sustainability, Community Connection, Women’s Advancement, and Health, Wellness and Safety.

Every nomination makes a difference

Canada’s Workforce Choice Awards not only recognize deserving businesses, but they give back, too. For every nomination received, BOWEN Group will be donating one dollar to Indigenous education. By simply nominating the business you feel should win an award, you’ll be helping the education of others. Plus, it only takes two minutes to vote!
