The Toronto Blue Jays have announced they will begin offering refunds for tickets purchased for games scheduled to take place until May 31.

Purchasers of season ticket memberships, ticket packs, group tickets, and executive suite licences will receive an account credit, with the option to obtain a refund, the team said, while single-game ticket holders can request a refund through their Ticketmaster account.

The Blue Jays are advising fans who purchased tickets from a secondary site that they should reach out to the company’s customer service department.

Affected ticket buyers will be contacted directly with more information about their options, the team adds. Alternatively, more information is available through the Blue Jays official website.

“The Blue Jays would like to thank fans for their incredible support and patience during this difficult time,” the team said in a media release. “The club will continue to communicate updates about the 2020 schedule as they become available.”

The Blue Jays were supposed to begin their season on March 26, and had 30 home games scheduled until the end of May. The remaining 51 home games from June to September are still technically “postponed” and not yet eligible to be refunded.
