It’s the final long weekend of the summer, which means there’s still time to squeeze in one last road trip before the leaves start to turn.

And if you’re on the road with a vegan or vegetarian, life has never been easier than it is right now.

Beyond Meat options are popping up at fast-food joints across the country, so you can still hit plenty of your favourite spots while accommodating everyone in the car.

A&W

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, A&W’s got plant-based options for you. With both a Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich and burger on deck, you can be satisfied by non-meaty goodness at any time of the day.

Tim Hortons

It would appear that Tim Hortons has fully boarded the veggie-train. Only a short time after the roll-out of Beyond Meat breakfast options hit stores across Canada, the company added two Beyond Meat burgers as well. Even more recently, some locations of the Canadian institution started offering egg substitute JUST brand ‘eggs’ for their sammies. Vegans, rejoice!

Quesada Burritos and Tacos

Quesada’s house-made recipe for their Beyond Meat burrito brings Mexican flavours and the spicy heat of Habanero pepper to the feisty meat-free crumbles, resulting in an extra kick. And the burrito can be customized with an array of fillings including Mexican slaw, guacamole and a variety of salsas.

Carl’s Jr.

The Beyond bandwagon has officially become a full-fledged thing, meaning national food chains across the country have decided to add Beyond Meat products to their menus, and the people are living. For. It. Beyond Meat burgers are now available at Carl’s Jr. locations in Canada (BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan), and will be on a BOGO offer from September 9 to 15.

White Spot

The 100% plant-based patty is featured on a burger at this BC joint along with avocado, pickled onions, roasted corn, crisp lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, jalapeño ranch, and edamame hummus. Beyond Meat’s patty is also up for order in White Spot’s Southwest Power Bowl, which is a combo of avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, roasted corn, and cabbage, quinoa, jasmine rice, greens, jalapeño ranch, and edamame hummus.

7-Eleven

Now available at select stores in Southern Ontario, Beyond Meat Pizza is an option at 7-eleven for those who love the taste of Italian sausage crumble, but would prefer a plant-based option. While currently only available in the General Toronto Area, we’ve got our fingers crossed that this dish rolls out country-wide, soon.

Subway – Coming Soon

Starting in September, for a limited time only, restaurants will test the Beyond Meatball Marinara sub in 685 participating restaurants in Canada and the US. While you won’t be able to find this treat at all locations, you can squeal for joy when you do find one, and then vote with your dollar with hopes that it’ll expand across the country and stay for good!

KFC – Coming Soon

KFC will be testing plant-based ‘chicken’ in select restaurants by the end of this year. While the company can’t say for sure at this time that it’ll be Beyond Meat chicken that they bring into Canadian eateries, they are testing the brand in the US right now. And considering the monopoly Beyond Meat has over plant-based options these days, we’d be neither surprised or disappointed.
