If you’re looking for a way to protect yourself during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and draw attention to animal welfare at the same time, look no further than the Langley, BC-based Critter Care Wildlife Society (CCWS).

On its website, the CCWS has now launched face masks that feature the faces of animals it has cared for.

The mask designs include an otter, a black bear, a raccoon, and a fawn, as well as a mask that simply features the CCWS logo.

All the masks come with “with easily adjustable ear loop straps to fit all face shapes, as well as a shapable hidden nose clip for that perfect fit,” according to the CCWS’s online store – the only location where the masks are currently available. The outer surface of the masks “is printed on a premium breathable polyester fabric that won’t irritate your skin. The inner surface is made from a soft breathable cotton fabric.”

The inside of the masks features a pouch “where you can add any of your own filters. Each mask also comes with two pieces of PM 2.5 filters that can be placed inside the pouch.”

All proceeds from the sale of the masks “go to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned BC mammals,” the CCWS said. “We are not government-funded, and are deeply grateful for your support.”
