Zaatar W Zeit is set to open at 535 Granville Street in late 2017/2018 and we couldn’t be more pumped – because this spot is pop-u-lar in the Middle East (once you peep their Instagram, you’ll see why).
We wouldn’t be surprised if you hadn’t heard of this eatery before, because it’s the first Canadian location for the Lebanese eatery.

Zaatar W Zeit was founded in Lebanon in 1999 and has since opened up in many countries around the globe including locations in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan.
The idea behind Zaatar was to modernize the food you’d find in a traditional Lebanese manousheh (brick-walled eatery specializing in savoury and sweet Lebanese flatbreads), and make it convenient for the younger generation of hungry patrons.
The 1,395 sq. ft. space on Granville Street is expected to dish out Zaatar specialties such as Knefeh (traditional cheese pastry dish), Hummus and Crackers, Tauok (marinated shish kabob), Chicken Kale Salad, Quinoa Halloumi Salad, a selection of Shwarmas, and super-dreamy cheesy fries.
Customers can also expect a variety of fresh juices, and the website is teasing breakfast items alongside the lunch and dinner eats too.
We’ll update more info about this spot’s exact opening date soon. Until then, check out Zaatar W Zeit’s social channels and try not to drool on your screen.
