If the impending end of the summer season is bringing you down, why not set your sights on the South American sun with a trip to Brazil?

According to the travel gurus over at YVR Deals, this September might just be the perfect opportunity to do that, thanks to a WestJet and LATAM Airlines, who have dropped the price of their September flights from Vancouver to Sao Paulo, Brazil down to $685 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

These flights can run upwards of $900 according to Google, so if Brazil is on your bucket list, it may be time to jump on this deal.

The flights have 1 stop each way, in Mexico City (3 hours on the way down, 8 hours on the way home).

Those who are interested in taking this trip should also note that Canadians require a visa to visit Brazil – although it’s now a lot easier to obtain one, and the price has dropped dramatically. In fact, it can now be obtained online, saving you the trouble of physically having to go to an embassy or consulate.

So if your travel documents are all in order and you’re ready to head south, here’s how to do so:

  1. Go to Skyscanner
  2. 2. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to Sao Paulo, Brazil (SAO)
  3. Try one of the following date combinations: Sept. 5 to Sept. 17, 18, 19 / Sept. 11, 12 to Sept 24, 25, 26 / Sept. 17, 18, 19 to Sept. 24, 25, 26 / Sept. 17, 18, 19 to Oct. 1
  4. Start packing your bags!
