When it was announced that the sci-fi series ‘The X-Files’ was getting a reboot for a six episode run, fans all over the world were excited for its return. In B.C., the question many fans had was whether it will film in Vancouver, where it was set for the first five seasons before moving production to California, or elsewhere.

Our Hollywood insider has confirmed that the series will start shooting in Vancouver this June.

This was also confirmed by actor William B. Davis who played the mysterious ‘Smoking Man’ in the original series. Davis told CTV that director Chris Carter confirmed that the X-Files reboot will be shooting in Vancouver this summer.

Both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are expected to be back as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, two FBI agents who investigate conspiracy theories and other paranormal events in the United States.
