After months of photos surfacing of David Duchovny in English Bay and Gillian Anderson’s local bear encounters, we will finally get to see what is in store for this season’s The X-Files.

Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully will soon be on your television screens as the iconic sci-fi drama returns for its Canadian premiere on January 3.

The classic series is back with 10 new episodes executive-produced by original series creator Chris Carter.

Picking up after last season’s cliff-hanger finale, where widespread panic began after people all over the country suddenly start falling gravely ill, the second installment of the mind-bending sci-fi favourite will feature guest-star appearances by some familiar faces. And of course, “Cigarette Smoking Man” and FBI Asst. Director Walter Skinner will be back.

Much of Season 11 was shot in and around Vancouver, so be sure to look out for all the landmarks.

The X-Files is back on CTV, January 3 at 8 pm.
