The Silver Screen Hollywood Afternoon Tea celebrates all the glitz of Old Hollywood, think Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and John Wayne. Black and white flicks are projected on a screen at the centre of the room, but the real star is the food.

Beta5 Weekend Brunch

Unsung Heroes Festival at Blue Water Café

Blue Water Cafe has been concocting weird and wonderful culinary creations from the sea for their annual Unsung Heroes Festival for 14 years, and this year’s selection is no different. This year, Executive Chef Frank Pabst has created an array of delights, integrating sustainable seafood not commonly found on many menus into familiar and much-loved dishes.

Benny Bonanza at Joe Fortes

This mid-morning event gives patrons a choice of Joe Fortes signature Eggs Benedict in three flavours – each only ringing in at $9.95.

In honour of the Vancouver Art Gallery’s spring exhibition, Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg, Market is launching a five-course tasting menu inspired by Murakami’s work. This will be available from February 5 to 28.

National Cupcake Day for BC SPCA

By baking cupcakes and giving them away in exchange for a donation, participants can improve the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected animals in our communities. National Cupcake Day is cross-country event presented by the BC SPCA, the Ontario SPCA, and participating humane societies.
