20-year-old woman stabbed in southeast Vancouver

A 20-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in southeast Vancouver on Sunday.

According to Vancouver Police (VPD), officers responded to reports of a disturbance Cleadon Court near Dunelm Avenue, in the city’s Champlain Heights neighbourhood at 5 am.

Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from what were determined to be stab wounds. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“It is still very early in the investigation and no arrests have been made,” said VPD officer Const. Jason Doucette.

He noted, however, that there is no risk to the general public in connection with this incident.
