Firefighters rescue woman who was stuck in Surrey ravine for 5 days (VIDEO)

A woman who fell into a ravine and reportedly got stuck for five days was rescued by Surrey firefighters on Tuesday.

Surrey’s Deputy Fire Chief John Lehmann told Daily Hive that rescue took place in the area of 96A Avenue and 117B Street on Tuesday afternoon.

“Once crews located the patient in the ravine, it was approximately 30 minutes to bring her up to the top and transfer care over to BC Ambulance,” Lehmann said.

A total of 17 firefighters were involved in the rescue.

Video footage of the incident was captured by 1st Due Media and posted to Youtube.
