Vancouver Police are investigating an attack on a woman near a South Vancouver golf course early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. near Fraserview Golf Course when a 28-year-old woman walking her dog on trail was seriously assaulted, according to a police statement. The woman was discovered by a jogger and called police.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area throughout the day to find the suspect, locate witnesses and gather any potential evidence. However, no arrests have been made at this time.

The woman was later taken to hospital and has since been released. She is now recovering at home.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call the Vancouver Police’s non-emergency hotline at 604-717-0603.
